My bouquet by Lavenders Flowers turned out so good! She is a local Orange County florist with a background in art and design and the most amazing eye for color.
My only request for my wedding ring was that it be a turquoise stone, Dan nailed it with this oval ring from Mociun.
I went to two locations to try on dresses but ended up going with this dress and lace topper that I ordered online from BHLDN.
I wanted a bohemian feel for the bridesmaid dresses in jewel tones. Each girl chose their own lace dress and had a bouquet and flower crown of greens.
The wedding reception was held at The fullerton Arboretum. Its a beautiful outdoor space open to the public that also hosts private and community events, plant sales and has a community garden that Dan and I rent a plot at.
For our guest book we chose to have everyone sign wood slices. We plan to create framed wall art from them if I can ever get around to it :)
The Arboretum has many different collections of plants, I love how this spot looks like we could be somewhere tropical.
The Desert collection at the Arboretum was my favorite spot to take photos.
The reception was set up on the main lawn with an open dance floor under string lights. We kept the table setting simple with vintage glass vases, handmade table numbers and Nordic Fox candle tins.
In addition to our naked wedding cake we also had traditional Norwegian Kransekake cakes. One came straight from Norway and the other was handmade by a family friend.
We had my brother-in-law's band Battlehooch play live music and MC for the reception. They were so good and the live music just added to the energy of the event.
Instead of hiring a photo booth we made our own with fujifilm instant cameras. Everyone loved shooting their own photos that they left in an album for us.
